Amersham Band

 

Amersham Band is a brass band based in South Buckinghamshire. The band was established in 1890 as 'The Amersham Sons of Temperance Band' and flourishes today with more than 30 members, together with a thriving training band and an informal group for senior players - Vintage Brass.  
 

Musical Director

 

wp86b2c3b1_0f.jpg Amersham Band’s Musical Director is Paul Fisher. Paul was appointed as MD in October 2009 and is a professional trombone player. He has worked extensively both in this country and around the world, touring with various Symphony Orchestras, Pop Bands, Big Bands and Musicals. Paul is currently Principal Conductor of the Hertfordshire County Youth Brass and a lead teacher in brass for the County. Since his appointment as Musical Director of Amersham Band in 2009 he has enthusiastically led its development, broadening the repertoire, attracting new members and achieving increasing success in contests.
